“Volevo assolutamente vincere e quando ho capito che il ritmo al vertice non era troppo elevato e potevo gestire la mia corsa nel gruppo di testa, mi sono detto che era il giorno giusto per provarci. Ho cercato di controllare la gara restando al comando per evitare di rischiare troppo nella bagarre, e facendo il mio ritmo per preservare le energie e le gomme per il finale. Temevo un po’ la scia in vista dell’ultimo giro ma sono riuscito a staccare davvero profondo, trovando un piccolo spazio tra Andrea e Marc per riprendere il comando, poi ho semplicemente spinto al massimo fino alla bandiera a scacchi. Una buona metà di questa vittoria è arrivata grazie ad Andrea, che mi ha preso sotto la sua tutela questo inverno e mi ha dato tanti consigli preziosi. Ora continueremo a lottare insieme per il campionato”.

“I really wanted this victory and when I realized the pace at the front wasn’t too fierce and I was able to manage my rhythm in the leading group, I told myself it was the right time to go for it. I tried to control the race by staying in the lead to avoid the risk of losing too many positions in the battle, dictating the pace to preserve the energies and the tyres for the final rush. I was a bit worried about the slipstream as we entered the final lap, but I managed to brake really deep and find a small gap between Andrea and Marc to retake the lead, then I simply pushed as hard as I could until the checkered flag. A good chunk of this win came thanks to Andrea, who took me under his wing this winter and gave so many precious tips. Now we’ll keep fighting together for the championship.”

“Hoy quería ganar sí o sí y cuando he visto que el ritmo no era demasiado elevado y que podía mantenerme en el grupo de cabeza he pensado que era el día perfecto. He intentado controlar la carrera manteniéndome primero para no arriesgar demasiado y a la vez conservando los neumáticos y energía para el final. Temía la última vuelta, pero he podido frenar muy fuerte y profundo, he encontrado un pequeño espacio entre Andrea y Marc y he vuelto a la cabeza. Después ha sido simplemente apretar al máximo hasta la bandera de cuadros. Gran parte de esta victoria también es de Andrea, que este invierno me ha ayudado mucho y me ha dado muchos consejos útiles. Ahora continuaremos luchando juntos por el campeonato”.
